Cold Room Supports Exciting Pub Rennovation
Temperature specialist, Cold Store Rentals (CSR), has recently installed a cold room at a newly-refurbished pub, The Castle Inn in Castle Donnington, to support its kitchen facilities once it opens to the public in the first week of February.
Cold Store Rentals supplied a Viessmann freezer room with Zanotti refrigeration equipment and LED lighting to current workplace lumens on site. The equipment is rented on a long term basis, so the pub’s owners have saved the capital investment.
Steve Prior, Director at Cold Store Rentals, explains: “Our engineers worked to supply and install a new internal chiller to the ground floor area, combining Viessmann standard flooring and panels upon the existing site with a Zanotti refrigeration system.”
The Zanotti refrigeration system provides temperatures between 0°C and 15°C suitable for this kitchen application. Cold Store Rentals has also supplied LED lighting to current workplace lumens with time-adjustable push switches and emergency lighting, plus additional strip florescent lights.
Mark Shaw, owner of The Castle Inn, explains: “We bought the pub in September last year and have since completely renovated the entire property so that it can open at the beginning of February.
“Once open we will have an authentic wood fired pizza oven and be offering Spanish and Italian-themed menus including fresh tapas daily, so it’s important that we have somewhere to support our busy kitchen and keep fresh ingredients cool so they don’t spoil.
“We have plans to expand the premises in the future and are pleased that we will be able to use the cold room to support our further expansion.”
Prior continues, “Our install engineers fully commissioned the systems and included basic training so that the users on site know how to operate the equipment all within three hours whilst on site.”
